The power of an image... the beauty of an image...
Let's not focus, today, on specific clothes and accesorries, let's not put a price tag on our imagination.

 

 Από τις πιο ωραίες καμπάνιες της σεζόν είναι αυτή των Dolce & Gabbana. Άρωμα, χρώμα, ήχοι και φυσικά εικόνα από τον ιταλικό νότο. Στιγμιότυπα μιας dolce vita... 

This must be one of the most beautiful ad capaigns of the season. The sent, the colours, the sounds and ofcourse the scenery of the italian south. Scenes of dolce vita...

Σύγχρονη πόλη και ένα όμορφο κορίτσι στις βραδινές της εξόδους με το αγόρι της. Ανεμελιά, μουσική από αγαπημένα συγκροτήματα, γέλια και πόζες στους δρόμους, φλερτ... αποτυπομένα -ιδανικά- μέσα από μια Polaroid και ένα κινητό τηλέφωνο!

 Ένα από τα στοιχεία που μου αρέσουν σε αυτή την καμπάνια, όπως και σ'αυτή των D&G, είναι ο διακριτικός ρόλος που έχουν τα ρούχα μέσα στις φωτογραφίες- συνοδεύουν και κομπλιμεντάρουν μια γενικότερη εικόνα και αισθητική. 

A beautiful girl's night outs, in a modern city, with her boyfriend. Carelessness, music from loved bands, laughs and poses in the streets, flirting... captured -ideally- from the lense of a Polaroid and a cellphone!

One of the things i realy like in this campaign, as well as the D&G one, is the district part of the clothes- they accompany and compliment the general picture and aesthetic.

Μυστήρια και γοητευτική Άπω Ανατολή. Πώς να μοιάζει άραγε η ζωή εκεί; Τα φωτεινά ιδεογράμματα των επιγραφών είναι πανέμορφα αλλά και ακατάληπτα, όπως και τα βλέμματα αυτών των γυναικών. 

The mysterious and enchanting Far East. What is like in that part of the world? The neon signs of ideograms are gorgeous yet strange to us, just like the gaze of these women's eyes.

Kate Moss και regency αρχιτεκτονική... Τί πιο αγγλικό από αυτό; :) Aυτές οι φωτογραφίες μου φέρνουν στο νου βόλτες στο Notting Hill και στο Porto Bello-που αποκτούν όλο και γρηγορότερο ρυθμό μιας και το πέρασμα της ώρας συνοδεύεται πάντα από πτώση της θερμοκρασίας- και που καταλήγουν σε απρόσμενα ωραία και ζεστά στεκάκια.

Kate Moss in regency-style architectured buildings... Could that image be more british? :)

These photos make me think of long walks in Notting Hill and Porto Bello -where, our pace  becomes gradually quicker, as the passing of the hour is always coming along with lower temperatures- and where they end up inside these unexpected, cozy and warm places.
