  As you're getting older your new experiences are outnumbered by the repeated ones... The number of your age is the same of your birthdays, your new year's eves, your summers...

  And you may not remember all of them and you may even still enjoy and everytime looking forward to re-live them... but secretely you'd love to have a different experience out of them! You may not admit it, but all those ornaments, all these window shops all that fake snow...all of these years... cannot move you.

  But that doesn't mean there's no hope -hey, this isn't a nagging post- out of the contrary... As long as your heart seeks for beauty, for one-another, for true feelings... there is hope...

Nine different sneakers, a variety of colours and materials... a combination of mesh, leather panels and silicone details. . . These very stylish and fashionable trainers manage to emulate a similar style while simultaneously being unique and special!  I really loved them . . . but  I am a bit worried cos the collection is only for men ::(  lucky u boys !

By the way, for those who don't know or don't remember,  Raf Simons is a Belgian  fashion designer . He started initially as a furniture designer but eventually launched his own menswear label in 1995. He then worked as a creative director at Christian Dior. He counts several collaborations with famous brands as Fred Perry, Asics,  Adidas with that limited edition footwear collection, etc.

Oh yes ... I am so happy with my last two purchases ... for two reasons... firstly cos I bought two new jumpers and secondly cos I bought them in a very very good price... amazingly good price!!! Do you remember the TK MAX outlet? I posted something about it a month ago! 

Yesterday I visited that outlet, without specially needing anything to buy, just to nicely spend some time with my little naughty boy. I was looking around, and my eye caught this hand knitted Ralph Lauren jumper... I liked it but I liked it even more when I saw the price . . . The original price was 665 GBD and I got it for only 25 GBD!!! Can you believe it??:)))) 

I am really looking forward to put it on with a pair of blue jeans, a white t-shirt and my brown ankle boots!

The second one was an italian jumper, originally costing 80 GBD, which I bought for only  24 GBD... not bad, don't you agree?:) I love the colour combination of grey and pink, and this particular jumper has a really nice feeling as well!

It was a lucky day.. wasnt it ?:)

a pair of shoes needed...

Hello hello, thankfully I am back! I apologize for the two weeks absence. I was so busy  with my babies that I couldn't find time for the blog! Today though, I am back with a new post and fresh "news" from the fashion world!
Well, this is the time I would like to buy a pair of shoes. I would favour something unusual, smart, stylish and unique! Fortunately, as i have noticed, there are many choices out there, there is a big variety of shoes in the shops!
The trends in fashion now are many: the Rag and Bone's pony-hair loafers and loafer booties, the shoes with prints,  and of course the mat and gloss leather shoes (always is in fashion), the lace up leather shoes, the brogues, the high boots and, as every year, the high heels in different colours, styles and designs.
I chose some those I liked most and I would want to have in my wardrobe:) and I would have definitely bought them all, if I could afford it . . . but i cant :)

 I fell in love with these ankle boots, and they will surely be one of  my next purchases. For the moment I bought a pair of gold ankle boots  to  my goddaughter!!lucky her:))

  Finally, as I always do, instead of shoes I bought two loose ivory t-shirts to wear with my skinny blue jeans :)  

The thing is now, that I still need a pair of shoes!!!

The Fashion and Textile museum in London!!

Well, finally I did it ! After nine months in london I managed to visit the Fashion  and Textile museum (FTM)! There are two such museums in london, the one I visited which is located in the fashionable high street of Bermondsey and the other one, the more famous is called the Victoria and Albert museum.    

The FTM is a cutting edge centre for contemporary fashion, jewelry and textiles. Now, the current exhibition  (from 20 sep 2013 until 14 jan. 2014), which I have seen and took same photos for you  is "The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon". Bellville Sassoon (B.S.) is a very famous  British Couture house for aristocrats and royals! B. S. has designed dresses for all the female members of the Royal family apart from Her Majesty the Queen. At the exhibition, apart from the main rooms, there is the royal room where you can see two dresses owned by Princess Diana and some others owned by Princess Michael of Kent (unfortunately I was not allowed to take pictures in that room). Generally  in that exhibition one can see the history of British glamour, from the late 1950s couture houses and the celebrities who became clients of the company, to our times. You can see the progress of fashion in pattern, textile and design, decade by decade! It was indeed interesting and fascinating! There was also a very nice shop with interesting fashion books, impressive jewelry and unique handbags! 

I  totally recommended  it.

Minju Kim with her collection "Dear my friend" inspired by Japanese Manga cartoonist Junji Ito is the winner of H&M design award 2013. 

Minju kim is a young designer from South Korea who graduated in spring 2013 from the final Masters year at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Minju has designed nine clothing pieces  and two accessories for a line which are available now in selected H&M stores. Playful and colorful dresses, blouses, oversized sweaters and blazers, all of them  with amazing cuts. Minju has  a very unique design signature, she knows how to combine her fantasy with great creativity and   technical skill.

As Ann - Sofie Johansson, H&M 's Creative Head of Design says "these pieces by Minju Kim show H&M's commitment to the future of design and to helping move fashion forward" and i totally agree!

Για προσθέστε ακόμα κάτι στο σημειωματάριό σας. . .  ένα μαγαζάκι αλλιώτικο, ένα μαγαζάκι που τα 'χει όλα. . .  από ρούχα, παπούτσια, κοσμήματα μέχρι οικιακά σκεύη. . . αλλά όχι τα συνηθισμένα που μπορείς να βρείς οπουδήποτε. . . ρούχα και παπούτσια που θυμίζουν πολύ, σ΄ εμένα τουλάχιστον, το vintage στυλ, σκεύη -κεραμικά με ζωγραφικά σχέδια, από αυτά που βλέπεις σε κάποια σπίτια και πάντα θα ήθελες τουλάχιστον ένα από αυτά να ήταν στην δικιά σου κουζίνα. Και το καλύτερο δεν σας το είπα ακόμα ... μέσα στο  μαγαζί  υπάρχει και ένα μικρό δωματιάκι που φιλοξενεί κατά περιόδους έργα διαφόρων καλλιτεχνών. Τέλειο; Προσωπικά ενθουσιάστηκα!! Γενικώς κάτι τέτοια μ' αρέσουν πολύ! Αυτή την βδομάδα φιλοξενούσε στο χώρο του, έκθεση κεραμικών πιάτων. . . φωτογράφησα το χώρο με τα κεραμικά πιάτα ώστε και εσείς να δείτε περι τίνος πρόκειται. 

Γράφω γράφω τόση ώρα και το που βρίσκεται ούτε καν πως λέγεται δεν σας το έχω πει:) Αnthropologie λέγεται  .... καθόλου τυχαίο το όνομα .. στο Λονδίνο υπάρχουν 3 μαγαζιά αυτής της φίρμας. Επισκέφτηκα το ένα απ' τα τρία, αυτό που βρίσκεται στο Chelsea, μια από τις πιο αριστοκρατικές συνοικίες του Λονδίνου, και μεταξύ μας, μια από τις αγαπήμενες μου περιοχές για ψώνια και καφεδάκι!

A new shop, a new entry for your notebook . . . a shop quite different from others, a shop with special character, a shop that has everything; from clothes to shoes, from jewelry to household utensils . . . but not those usual things you can find anywhere. The clothes and the shoes remind, to me at least, the vintage style. The painted/designed kitchenware pottery is the kind of staff you see in some houses and would like to have, at least one of them, in your own kitchen. And I haven't yet told you the best . . . inside the shop, there is a small cubicle where the work of various artists is periodically hosted.  Perfect?  Personally I got really excited.  This week, an exhibition of ceramic plates was hosted there and I took some photos for you; to see for yourselves how interesting this place is!

But I haven’t told you the shop’s name yet, have I ?J . . .  It’s named Anthropologie . . . The brand has three shops in London. . .  I visited one of the three, the one in Chelsea, one of the most exclusive areas of London, and between us, one of my favorite shopping and coffee destinations!!!

need an outlet?...

 Στην καρδιά της πόλης, στο old city του Λονδίνου, κοντά στο London Bridge, ανακάλυψα  πριν δυο μήνες  ένα μαγαζάκι- outlet.  ένα εκπληκτικό καταφύγιο για να σκοτώνει κανείς ευχάριστα τις ώρες του!!Ρούχα, παπούτσια, καλλυντικά, αρώματα, κρέμες, είδη περιποίησης μαλλιών, τσάντες μέχρι και γλυκά είναι αυτά που μπορεί κανείς να βρει στο Τ.Κ.ΜΑΧ!

Προσωπικά είμαι πολύ happy με αυτή μου την ανακάλυψη  γιατί  οι τιμές είναι πάρα πολύ καλές, 60 τοις εκατό κάτω από την κανονική, σχεδόν πάντα θα βρείς κάτι να τσιμπήσεις μιας και κάθε βδόμαδα ανανεώνεται το υλικό και το σημαντικό δεν χρειάζεται να τρέχεις τόσο συχνά στα outlet που βρίσκονται έξω απ' το Λονδίνο!!
Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα γι' οσους τους φέρει ο δρόμος προς London Bridge αλλά και για όσους πρόκειται να ρθούν ταξίδι στο Λονδίνο!!
Και για να σας πείσω ότι αξίζει μια επίσκεψη τουλάχιστον διάλεξα μερικά κομμάτια (τα περίσσοτερα επώνυμα) απ΄ τα πολλά που υπάρχουν για να σας δείξω....

In the heart of the city, near London Bridge, at the old town, there is an outlet store that i've just recently discovered. Inside it, one can find clothes, shoes, handbacks, perfumes, cosmetics, hair products... even sweets! T. K. MAX has it all... :)
I'm so glad that i found a place like this, because of its good prices ( 60% sale), its frequency in bringing new merchandise in, and ofcourse, because of its location! Before going to a...trip to an outlet far from the city, i recoment you 'd visit this first.
Here, i'll show you some of the things i have found in it, so you'll get an idea of what the place is like...

Διακοπές τέλος, επιστροφή στο πολύβουο και πολυτάραχο Λονδίνο και φυσικά επιστροφή στα δικά μας Σούξουμούξου:))).

'Ένα μήνα τώρα στην Κύπρο ομολογώ ότι "στέγνωσε" το μάτι μου, η μόδα σαν να έμεινε λιγάκι πίσω, τα μαγαζιά όλο και λιγότερα και το εμπόρευμα συμμαζεμένο.. και όλα αυτά δικαιολογημένα φυσικά ...

 Μια βόλτα,  με την επιστροφή μου, στη μέκκα της μόδας  ήταν αρκετή για να  ξυπνήσει  και να  γεμίσει  με όμορφες εικόνες τα "στεγνά" μου  μάτια !!   Μόνο να χαζεύεις δεξιά αριστερά,  χωρίς  καν να ψωνίζεις και η διάθεση σου αλλάζει.. Χρώματα όμορφα, ρούχα εκθαμβωτικά ωραία και  βιτρίνες στημένες  με ιδιαίτερο γούστο και πρωτοτυπία. Έβαλαν και οι βιτρίνες τα φθινοπωρινά /χειμερινά τους και σιγά σιγά όσο και αν δεν το θέλουμε μπαίνουμε και μεις στο λονδρέζικο φθινοπωρινό moood:) 

Κοντοστάθηκα σε πολλές βιτρίνες, σε μερικές δίστασα να τραβήξω φωτογραφίες αφου οι καλοντυμένοι και πολύ σικάτοι φρουροί ήταν φάτσα με μένα, σε κάποιες όμως μου ήταν αδύνατο, είχα εντυπωσιαστεί με το όλο σκηνικό  που έπρεπε να το αποθανατίσω πάση θυσία:))). 

Μια βόλτα από την Bond street μέχρι και το Knightsbridge, αρκετά μεγάλη θα έλεγα, αλλά ήταν τόσο ωραία τα οπτικά -ρουχικά θεάματα που δεν με ΄νοιαξε και πολύ!! Μακάρι να χα χρόνο για περίσσοτερο... 

Μια βόλτα που την συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα και για όσους είναι καινούριοι στο Λονδίνο αλλά και για όσους είναι καιρό εδώ... αυτούς τους δρόμους όσες φορές  και να τους περπατήσεις πότε δεν τους βαριέσαι :)

I LoVe LONDON...

Summer holidays are over… I came back in busy and intense London… I came back to SouksouMouksou…:)

Truth is, after a month spent in Cyprus, my eyes started drying out. Cyprus remains behind in the fashion area. Because of the economic crisis I wasn’t expecting too much but it was still a sad view the one of closed shops and that of the limited merchandise…

Back in London, there is another kind of story… Just a short walk in the city the day after my arrival, was enough to wake my senses up. Just by looking around, gazing at shops’ windows, I started getting into a different mood. Images of beautiful colours, of dazzling outfits, all set and styled up in a unique and stunning way inside the window shops, were welcoming me back at fashion’s Mecca… :)  

I got so excited, that I wanted to capture those images and bring them home with me. My cell phone was just the gadget I needed. I encouraged myself and I tried not to pay attention to the formal and strict guards of the shops. My intensions were good and that was all that mattered to me. So now, I have my images to look at anytime I want. My walks from Bond street to Knightsbridge in photographs. My little photos to hold and to share…

  

Shopping Tour no7

Περασμένες οι έντεκα το πρωί, ο καιρός ζεστός μεν αλλά βροχερός, ο μικρός ψιλοανήσυχος, εγώ ψιλοβαρεμένη, δεν το πολυσκέφτηκα και πολύ.. μάζεψα ότι ήταν απαραίτητο για την έξοδo μας και την κάναμε με συνοπτικές διαδικασίες. Ο δρόμος μας έβγαλε στο Green Park και από κει στην old and new bond street... τα λόγια περισσεύουν, όσοι την έχετε ήδη επισκεφθεί μπορείτε να με καταλάβετε, όσοι όχι θα με θυμηθείτε όταν θα πάτε!! Πραγματικός παράδεισος.. όλα τόσo ωραία μα και τόσο ακριβά :)) και αφού είδα, θαύμασα, ονειρεύτηκα ότι ήταν δικά μου... ξύπνησα, προσγειώθηκα και συνέχισα την βόλτα μου... κατέληξα στο SELFRIDGES, ένα από τα πιο γνωστά πολυκαταστήματα του Λονδίνου, ακριβό μέν αλλά όχι απαγορευτικό!! Τι λέτε?? πάμε να δούμε τι μάζεψε το ΣΟΥΜΟΥ για σας ?? Δεν άκουσα ... πιο δυνατάααα και ναιιιιιι πάμε να δούμε.....

  

  Past eleven in a worm, rainy morning... My little baby boy was feeling unsettled and we both needed something to tone us up desparetely! I had to act fast to ensure a healthy state of mind for both us. I packed up really quickly everything nessesary and i wore the baby carrier. We were all set for our stroll in the city.
The affects were immidiate, for both of us. My baby stopped crying (at last!) and the tension started leaving our bodies.
  We got passed Green Park and then we headed for the old and new Bond str. Needless to say much... i think anyone who has visited this street can feel me.. As for those who are thinking of going down this road for the first time all i can tell them is "Just go already"! Believe me, it's like a magical place for those who love shopping. There are so may things you can look at - (so many things you can only llook at, as they are so expensive..)
  So, i looked, i admired, i daydreamed and continued our walk. We were really enjoying it and i was trying not to let myself loose track of time. Before we were going to start heading back home, we needed to take one more stop to... SELFRIDGES! Yep, the famous store is one of my favourite sightings in London. :) It has very expensive things as well as not so... One can find things that they like and they are affordable. I didn't buy anything that morning, but i saw a lot.. Wanna have a look of the things i saw?...
